Matt Baker

Pastor Matt Baker grew up in a Christian home with his single mom in Lenoir, NC. He was saved at age 17 at his home church. Music was always a passion of his, and it became apparent at an early age that this was his calling. 

After graduating high school in 2003, he attended Pensacola Christian College and graduated in 2008. He and his wife Ashley, his high school sweetheart, got married just a few weeks later, and he began serving in Pensacola as a college recruiter while his wife taught in a large Christian school there. 

After moving back to North Carolina in 2011, Matt began his music ministry, traveling and singing in churches all across the country. In 2014, he accepted the call to join the staff at his home church, Ambassador Baptist Church in Hudson, NC, where he served until 2018. 

In 2018, Matt and his family began serving at Eufola Baptist Church in Statesville, NC where he served in roles as Assistant Pastor, Worship Pastor, and Youth Pastor during his time there.

In June 2026, he accepted the call to become the Worship Pastor at Clear Springs Baptist Church. 

Matt and his wife, Ashley, a 2-time cancer survivor, have 4 beautiful children: Bella, Bennett, Blakely, and Brooks.
